Carbon forests

Trees have proven throughout history to be one of the most effective tools for capturing carbon dioxide from the atmosphere and converting it into biomass.

At TERRA Forest we want to offer companies, planners and investors the development of projects that are different from traditional monocultures. With a pragmatic approach of mixed forests including native species of the area, we encourage the creation of new biodiverse spaces while removing carbon dioxide from the air.

For greater biodiversity

In the last century we have seen a massive extinction of species. This alarming reduction in biodiversity is largely due to the way we manage our economy where industrial agriculture, deforestation, overfishing, among other factors, directly and negatively affect the conditions for the survival of different species.

In Terra Forest we have as one of our main purposes to generate areas with the right conditions to avoid the loss of biodiversity in Colombia, the second most biodiverse country in the world.

Project design

For a project to be truly sustainable, it must consider not only the environmental, but also the social and economic aspects of the project. This is why at TERRA Forest we place great emphasis on a project design that involves the community, addresses as many SDGs as possible, and is economically sustainable. The latter can be achieved by changing the species mix or through parallel uses such as honey or other non-timber forest products (NTFPs).
