Why are we doing it?
In recent years we have seen the devastating effects of climate change and we must take action to avoid a climate disaster and a biodiversity crisis.
We develop high-quality reforestation and afforestation projects that create thriving habitats for biodiversity while removing carbon from the atmosphere. By combining local know-how with international expertise , we provide our partners with a reliable and competitive approach to achieving meaningful environmental impact. Together, we can build a more sustainable future.

What do we do?
Terra forest develops reforestation and afforestation projects with local partners in Colombia to improve and increase environmental services and biodiversity in our target areas. Our local partners have planted more than one million trees in the last few years.
In the past, we have done projects for the Colombian branches of Hewlett Packard and Direct TV as well as for some European companies, and the trees are still growing after more than a decade. Find out more about our services for companies.

Where do we do it?
We have land available for projects in different regions of Colombia like near the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta or in the Orinoquia region. Each of these offers different characteristics for a successful forestry project but all share the great geographical advantage of being located in the tropics where biomass growth is higher than in other regions.
We work closely with local communities and environmental experts to achieve a balance between economic development and the conservation of our natural resources.
Who are we?
We are a group of entrepreneurs, located in Colombia and Germany, with vast experience in the forestry sector who see a necessity in the national and international market for reforestation projects with a high biodiversity value, using species native to the area.
We want to offer companies and financial institutions the possibility to collaborate in the fight against climate change. We also offer representation services for international planners. We are proud to be selected to be part of the "Business for Development" Programm of the German Government, implemented by the GIZ.
