About Terra Forest
At Terra Forest we have a simple mission: we want to plant trees and create new spaces for biodiversity. The decarbonization of the atmosphere is an issue that cannot wait and needs the highest attention to avoid a climate disaster. This is why we want to offer our clients and partners different services related to the development of forestry projects in Colombia. Our commitment is to contribute to a sustainable future, preserve the environment and work together with the local communities.
We are a group of entrepreneurs located between Colombia and Germany with an approach far away from monocultures or traditional forestry projects. A part of our team developed the first biodiversity bank of South America, located in the Orinoquia region in Colombia, and all of us started planting native trees 20 years ago.
We are glad to say that we have been selected as one of the ventures participating in the Start-up competition of “Business Ideas for Development” (BID)" of the GIZ on behalf of the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development.
Our principles
We are committed to developing sustainable forestry projects that contribute to environmental conservation. We also work with the local communities, involving them in the projects at different stages.

Sustainability
Our main objective is to capture carbon dioxide from the atmosphere to reduce the impact of climate change. We seek a balance between good carbon dioxide sequestration while creating conditions for increased biodiversity.
We create new spaces to promote biodiversity and protect endangered species. In our projects we seek to have as many native species as possible combined with other species that have been successful according to the soils.
